There are numerous charter flights from various UK and Irish airports, and most of the airlines sell flight only tickets.  There are also regular scheduled flights from a number of airports including Manchester, Leeds Bradford and London Gatwick.  Return flight prices range from about £120 to about £300 per person, depending on the season and airport.

When comparing flight prices online, please be aware that the headline price, or basic price show in the early pages, is often not what you actually pay as some companies often break down their prices into different parts.  You might need to proceed through the booking process to make a fair comparison.  Although UK law now states that non-optional charges such as taxes, fuel surcharges and security charges must be stated in the headline price, some of these prices still appear after the booking process has started.  In addition, many carriers are now charging for baggage and other items and these are not announced until later.  Credit and debit card charges are also something to look out for.  Sometimes even an online discount can be hidden until the later pages!

Please also remember that it is usually a condition of all charter airlines that you have appropriate travel insurance.  You do not need to purchase this through the airline, indeed not all offer it.  Annual or single trip insurance can be purchased from various places including most insurance brokers.

There are a number of on-line agents who specialise in flight only bookings, or you can book directly with the airline or tour operator.  If you have a specific airport in mind, you can start your flight search by checking out the airport web sites to discover who flies to Lanzarote.  You can also check our Live Arrrivals / Live Departures information to see who is flying in and out now.  Not all of the airlines and airports serve Lanzarote all year round.

Some companies refer to Lanzarote's airport as Arrecife, others call it Lanzarote.  The airport code is ACE.  (It is also known locally as Guacimeta Airport.)

The information is believed to be correct but flights do change on a regular basis.  Feel free to email or contact me if you spot any errors.

Airlines and Tour Operators

The following airlines and tour operators take online bookings.  These might be for their own aircraft, for aircraft they have chartered, for other chartered aircraft, for scheduled flights, or for a mixture of any of these.  Tour operators often use the same charter flights as each other, often charging different prices for the same flight.  Each operator will have a number of allocated seats, and it is therefore worth checking a number of providers for price and availability on what is actually the same filght.  This page does not include any of the numerous price comparison sites which direct you to other websites.

Agencies

Most of the flights to Lanzarote from UK and Ireland are charter flights but an increasing number of charter companies are now providing scheduled services adding to the more traditional scheduled airline services. The following agency websites deal with charter flights, scheduled flights or both and most take online booings.  Some of the sites listed above also offer similar services.

The agencies dealing predominantly charter flights usually provide more meaningful and comprehensive results for flights to Lanzarote.  Even then it is worth checking more than for price and availability.  Some agencies appear to deal predominantly in scheduled flights and these will often fail to find available charter flights and instead offer multiple leg, expensive, scheduled flights.  In short, check out a few before you book.

Some companies refer to Lanzarote's airport as Arrecife, others call it Lanzarote.  It is also known locally as Guacimeta Airport.  The airport code is ACE.
